آسماں سےُ پکارتا ہے کوئی
وقت سو کے گزارتا ہے کوئی
سب امیدیںِ مٹا بھی دیتا ہے
من کی خواہش ابھارتا ہے کوئی
مر کے ایسے سکوں ملا جیسے
سر سے گٹھڑی اُتارتا ہے کوئی
صبح تک رات روتی رہتی ہے
شب کچھ ایسے گزارتا ہے کوئی
بکھری زلفیں سمیٹ لیتا ہے
اپنی قسمت سنوارتا ہے کوئی
وہ مرے ساتھ ایسے چلتا ہے
’’جیسے احساں اتارتا ہے کوئی‘‘
