Ibn-e-Safi Poetry – Who can ever forget the man who wrote some spectacular mystery novels and short stories that grab the attention of the readers? Asrar Ahmed known as Ibn-e-Safi, well-recognized fiction writer, novelist and Urdu poet of Pakistan. He was famous for his work of Jasooi Dunya and Imran series classified as a mixture of mystery, adventure, suspense, violence and romance that gained large popularity in South Asia. His work of Imran Series has also been translated in English by Bilal Tanweer, and published by Random House India titled ‘The House of Fear’. Dhamaka was the film by Ibn-e Safi based on Imran Series and released in 1974. He used to write poem as well under a pen name of ‘Asar Narvi’. He wrote numerous genres of Urdu poetry include, Hamds, Naat, Manqabat, Marisa, Ghazals and Nazams. Some of famous Ibn-e-Safi Ghazals are Aaj Ki Raat, Daulat-e-Gham, Kuch Toh Ta-alluq and Maan. Some of the renowned publications of Ibn –e- Safi non series work includes Aadmi ki Jarain, Baldaraan ki Malikaa, Diplomat Murgh, Saarhe Paanch Baje , and Tuzke do-Piazi to name a few.
