جدھر جاتے ہیں سب جانا ادھر اچھا نہیں لگتا
مجھے پامال رستوں کا سفر اچھا نہیں لگتا
غلط باتوں کو خاموشی سے سننا حامی بھر لینا
بہت ہیں فائدے اس میں مگر اچھا نہیں لگتا
مجھے دشمن سے بھی خودداری کی امید رہتی ہے
کسی کا بھی ہو سر قدموں میں سر اچھا نہیں لگتا
بلندی پر انہیں مٹی کی خوشبو تک نہیں آتی
یہ وہ شاخیں ہیں جن کو اب شجر اچھا نہیں لگتا
یہ کیوں باقی رہے آتش زنو یہ بھی جلا ڈالو
کہ سب بے گھر ہوں اور میرا ہو گھر اچھا نہیں لگتا
