جتنے وحشی ہیں چلے جاتے ہیں صحرا کی طرف
کوئی جاتا ہی نہیں خیمۂ لیلےٰ کی طرف
ہم حریفوں کی تمنا میں مرے جاتے ہیں
انگلیاں اٹھنے لگیں دیدۂ بینا کی طرف
ہر طرف صبح نے اک جال بچھا رکھا ہے
اوس کی بوند کہاں جاتی ہے دریا کی طرف
ہم بھی امرت کے طلب گار رہے ہیں لیکن
ہاتھ بڑھ جاتے ہیں خود زہر تمنا کی طرف
