مری بھنووں کے عین درمیان بن گیا
جبیں پہ انتظار کا نشان بن گیا
سنا ہوا تھا ہجر مستقل تناؤ ہے
وہی ہوا مرا بدن کمان بن گیا
مہیب چپ میں آہٹوں کا واہمہ ہوا
میں سر سے پاؤں تک تمام کان بن گیا
ہوا سے روشنی سے رابطہ نہیں رہا
جدھر تھیں کھڑکیاں ادھر مکان بن گیا
شروع دن سے گھر میں سن رہا تھا اس لئے
سکوت میری مادری زبان بن گیا
اور ایک دن کھنچی ہوئی لکیر مٹ گئی
گماں یقیں بنا یقیں گمان بن گیا
کئی خفیف غم ملے ملال بن گئے
ذرا ذرا سی کترنوں سے تھان بن گیا
مرے بڑوں نے عادتاً چنا تھا ایک دشت
وہ بس گیا رحیمؔ یار خان بن گیا
