کہ نیند شرط نہیں خواب دیکھنے کے لیے
عجب حریف تھا میرے ہی ساتھ ڈوب گیا
مرے سفینے کو غرقاب دیکھنے کے لیے
وہ مرحلہ ہے کہ اب سیل خوں پہ راضی ہیں
ہم اس زمین کو شاداب دیکھنے کے لیے
جو ہو سکے تو ذرا شہ سوار لوٹ کے آئیں
پیادگاں کو ظفر یاب دیکھنے کے لیے
کہاں ہے تو کہ یہاں جل رہے ہیں صدیوں سے
