پھر اپنی نظر شاید تا حد نظر جائے
صحرا پہ لگے پہرے اور قفل پڑے بن پر
اب شہر بدر ہو کر دیوانہ کدھر جائے
خاک رہ جاناں پر کچھ خوں تھا گرو اپنا
اس فصل میں ممکن ہے یہ قرض اتر جائے
دیکھ آئیں چلو ہم بھی جس بزم میں سنتے ہیں
جو خندہ بہ لب آئے وہ خاک بسر جائے
یا خوف سے در گزریں یا جاں سے گزر جائیں
مرنا ہے کہ جینا ہے اک بات ٹھہر جائے
