سبھی منتظر ہیں کہ آئے کوئی
قیدِ دوراں سے ہم کو چھڑائے کوئی
ہم ہیں محرومِ ذوقِ تماشا سبھی
غیر کے آگے دھرتے ہیں کاسہ سبھی
ہم کہ مجبور ہیں نارسا تو نہیں
زخم گہرا سہی لادوا تو نہیں
قید میں ہے زباں بے صدا تو نہیں
قفس تاریک ہے بے صدا تو نہیں
اِن ہواؤں پہ تحریریں لکھ چھوڑیے
اپنی آہوں سے زنجیریں سب توڑیے
آندھیوں کے گلے میں قبا ڈالیے
خرمنِ بے بسی اب جلا ڈالیے
خود سہارا بنیں اپنا پھر بات ہے
غیرتِ ہستی کی یہی سوغات ہے
تیز رَو کارِ دنیا چلا جاتا ہے
ہم پہ قرضِ زمانہ بڑھا جاتا ہے
