اوپر بادل نیچے پربت بیچ میں خواب غزالاں کا
دیکھو میں نے حرف جما کے نگر بنایا جاناں کا
پاگل پنچھی بعد میں چہکے پہلے میں نے دیکھا تھا
اس جمپر کی شکنوں میں ہلکا سا رنگ بہاراں کا
بستی یونہی بیچ میں آئی اصل میں جنگ تو مجھ سے تھی
جب تک میرے باغ نہ ڈوبے زور نہ ٹوٹا طوفاں کا
ہم املاک پرست نہیں ہیں پر یوں ہے تو یوں ہی سہی
اک ترے دل میں گھر ہے اپنا باقی ملک سلیماں کا
رنج کا اپنا ایک جہاں ہے اور تو جس میں کچھ بھی نہیں
یا گہراؤ سمندر کا ہے یا پھیلاؤ بیاباں کا
ہم کوئی اچھے چور نہیں پر ایک دفعہ تو ہم نے بھی
سارا گہنہ لوٹ لیا تھا آدھی رات کے مہماں کا
