WEEPING WILLOW

She stands upon the hilltop
among the luscious green
her roots are firmly planted
but her leaves they do weep

She's surrounded by sheer beauty
of the valley down below
butterflies waltzing to the hum
as the brook gently flows
off in the distance

The sky is clouded with gray
no storms are in the forecast
this causes her much dismay
with a tenacity for life
she,ll continue to keep
her roots firmly planted
but her leaves forever will weep.
