عاشقی مطلعِ دیدار سے آگے نہ بڑھی
تیرگی کیسوئے خمدار سے آگے نہ بڑھی
روشنی تابشِ رُخسار سے آگے نہ بڑھی
دلبری رونقِ بازار سے آگے نہ بڑھی
سادگی حسرتِ اظہار سے آگے نہ بڑھی
خود فراموش ترے عرش کو چُھو کر آئے
خواجگی جُبّہ و دستار سے آگے نہ بڑھی
بس میں ہوتا تو تری بزم سجاتے ہم بھی
بے بسی سایہِ دیوار سے آگے نہ بڑھی
جلوہِ ذات سے آگے تھی فقط ذات ہی ذات
بندگی رقصِ سرِ دار سے آگے نہ بڑھی
بے خودی دشت و بیاباں سے ورا ہے واصفؔ
آگہی وادئِ پُر خار سے آگے نہ بڑھی
