Bashir Badr Poetry in Urdu
Bashir Badr Poetry - He is an Indian Poet of Urdu Language. Bashir Badr was born in 15 Feb 1935 in Ayodhyna, India. He studied at Aligarh Muslim University. He used to live in Aligarh university area during student time and teaching time. Badr has written many Urdu ghazals. He has also worked as a chairman of the Urdu Academy. His genre is Ghazal Poetry. Subjects of his poetry are love and Philosophy.
Number of Urdu Ghazals and around 18,000 couplets are added to his credit. His most of the ghazals are sung by famous singers. The ghazals are in highly contemporary Urdu and can therefore be simply understood and valued by a vast majority of people. in 1999 Padma Shri was awarded him for his contribution towards literature and Sangeet Natak Academy. He has also received the Sahitya Academy Award in Urdu for his poetry collection "Aas" in 1999.
He has written many books and some of them are as follows.Aas, Azadi Ke Bad Ki Ghazal, Bashir Badr Ki Ghazlain, Ikai, Image, Nai Awaz.
