یہ ننھے بچے جس روز بڑے ہوں گے
اتنے دکھی اس درجہ اداس جو سائے ہیں
رات کے دشت میں تیز ہوا سے لڑے ہوں گے
دھوپ کے قہر کی لذت کے شیدائی ہیں
یہ اشجار بھی خواب سے چونک پڑے ہوں گے
ہم کو خلا کی وسعت سے فرصت نہ ملی
لاکھ خزانے اس دھرتی میں گڑے ہوں گے
وہ دن ہوگا آخری دن ہم سب کے لیے
آئینہ دیکھنے جب ہم لوگ کھڑے ہوں گے
