Time Thief

Poet: M.S.K.B. By: M.K., Gujranwala

I heard a song,
in a mellifluous tune,
when I was woebegone.
It was serendipitous and dulcet,
with an impact that was lifelong.

When I was an ingenue,
I saw a harbinger,
who retold the fables,
of the felicitous future.

Standing at the offing,
I breathed a sigh of relief,
for I was not
the only time thief.
