لکھی ہے جس فلک پہ تقدیر ء نؤ ھماری
آؤ نہ گھر بسائیں اسی آسماں پہ یارو
پابند اڑان کر کے غفلت میں ہے زمانہ
ممکن نہیں ہے پہرہ اونچی اڑاں پہ یارو
دوراں کا غم نہ کرنا، یہ مرحلہ ء رفعت
پیمان ء ناموری ہے، اسی امتحاں پہ یارو
باد ء نسیم دیتی بانگ ء فجر چمن کو
تعبیر ء خواب ء قائد، اسی نوجواں پہ یارو
جنہں تھا شغف فقیری ملی انکو سرفرازی
نازاں قانون ء فطرت اسی کارواں پہ یارو
میرے لئے تو ساقی وہی جام بھر کے لانا
جو مجھے عزیز کر دے، اسی لامکاں پہ یارو
اقبال کے فلک کا، ادناہ سا ہوں ستارہ
