پھول کے ہاتھ میں خنجر بھی تو ہو سکتا ہے
ایک مدت سے جسے لوگ خدا کہتے ہیں
چھو کے دیکھو کہ وہ پتھر بھی تو ہو سکتا ہے
مجھ کو آوارگئ عشق کا الزام نہ دو
کوئی اس شہر میں بے گھر بھی تو ہو سکتا ہے
کیسے ممکن کہ اسے جاں کے برابر سمجھوں
وہ مری جان سے بڑھ کر بھی تو ہو سکتا ہے
صرف ساون تو نہیں آگ لگانے والا
جون کی طرح دسمبر بھی تو ہو سکتا ہے
چاک دامن سے مرے مجھ کو برا مت سمجھو
کوئی یوسف سا پیمبر بھی تو ہو سکتا ہے
صرف چہروں پہ لطافت کوئی موقوف نہیں
چاند جیسا کوئی پتھر بھی تو ہو سکتا ہے
تم سر راہ ملے تھے تو کبھی پھر سے ملو
حادثہ شہر میں اکثر بھی تو ہو سکتا ہے
سارا الزام جفا اس پہ کہاں تک رکھوں
یہ مرا اپنا مقدر بھی تو ہو سکتا ہے
کیا ضروری ہے کہ ہم سر کو جھکائیں زخمیؔ
ایک سجدہ مرے اندر بھی تو ہو سکتا ہے اسد
درخت جاں پہ وہی سردیوں کا موسم ہے
شوقین ہو جس کو پڑهنے کے تم
دسمبر کی وه اداس شاعری ہوں میں
جاتے ہوئے دسمبر کی کھڑکی سے
میں نے ہنستا ہوا جنوری دیکھا
اف یہ دسمبر کی آخری گھڑیاں
میرے پہلو میں کاش تم ہوتے
ذرا سی دیر دسمبر کی دھوپ میں بیٹھیں
یہ فرصتیں ھمیں شاید نہ اگلے سال ملیں دانش
ہر طرف یادوں کا دسمبر بکھر گیا
تیس دن تک اسی دیوار پہ لٹکے گا یہ عکس
ختم اک دن میں دسمبر نہیں ہونے والا
ان دنوں تعلق تھوڑا مضبوط رکھنا
سنا ہے دسمبر کے بچھڑے کبھی نہیں ملتے
دسمبر جب بھی لوٹتا ہے میرے خاموش کمرے میں
میرے بستر پر بکھری کتا بیں بھیگ جاتی ہیں
ٹھٹھرتی ہوئی شبِ سیاہ اور وہ بھی طویل تر
محسن ہجر کے ماروں پہ قیامت ہے دسمبر تیمور
جم سے جاتے ہیں غم دسمبر میں
جو ہمیں بھول ہی گیا تھا اسے
یاد آئے ہیں ہم دسمبر میں
سارے شکوے گلے بھلا کے اب
لوٹ آ اے صنم دسمبر میں
کس کا غم کھائے جا رہا ہے تمہیں
آنکھ کیوں ہے یہ نم دسمبر میں
یاد آتا ہے وہ بچھڑنا جب
خوب روئے تھے ہم دسمبر میں
وہی پل ہے وہی ہے شام حزیں
آج پھر بچھڑے ہم دسمبر میں
بس یہی اک تمنا ہے اندرؔ
کاش مل جائیں ہم دسمبر میں

واپسی میں اسے ممکن ہے زمانے لگ جائیں
سو نہیں پائیں تو سونے کی دعائیں مانگیں
نیند آنے لگے تو خود کو جگانے لگ جائیں
اس کو ڈھونڈیں اسے اک بات بتانے کے لیے
جب وہ مل جائے تو وہ بات چھپانے لگ جائیں
ہر دسمبر اسی وحشت میں گزارا کہ کہیں
پھر سے آنکھوں میں ترے خواب نہ آنے لگ جائیں
اتنی تاخیر سے مت مل کہ ہمیں صبر آ جائے
اور پھر ہم بھی نظر تجھ سے چرانے لگ جائیں
جیت جائیں گی ہوائیں یہ خبر ہوتے ہوئے
تیز آندھی میں چراغوں کو جلانے لگ جائیں
تم مرے شہر میں آئے تو مجھے ایسا لگا
جوں تہی دامنوں کے ہاتھ خزانے لگ جائیں

اکیلا جب بھی ہوتا ہوں مجھے گھر یاد آتا ہے
مری بے ساختہ ہچکی مجھے کھل کر بتاتی ہے
ترے اپنوں کو گاؤں میں تو اکثر یاد آتا ہے
جو اپنے پاس ہوں ان کی کوئی قیمت نہیں ہوتی
ہمارے بھائی کو ہی لو بچھڑ کر یاد آتا ہے
سپھلتا کے سفر میں تو کہاں فرصت کہ کچھ سوچیں
مگر جب چوٹ لگتی ہے مقدر یاد آتا ہے
مئی اور جون کی گرمی بدن سے جب ٹپکتی ہے
نومبر یاد آتا ہے دسمبر یاد آتا ہے

کہاں تک میں دیکھوں یہ منظر اکیلے
گلی میں ہواؤں کی سرگوشیاں ہیں
گھروں میں مگر سب صنوبر اکیلے
نمائش ہزاروں نگاہوں نے دیکھی
مگر پھول پہلے سے بڑھ کر اکیلے
اب اک تیر بھی ہو لیا ساتھ ورنہ
پرندہ چلا تھا سفر پر اکیلے
جو دیکھو تو اک لہر میں جا رہے ہیں
جو سوچو تو سارے شناور اکیلے
تری یاد کی برف باری کا موسم
سلگتا رہا دل کے اندر اکیلے
ارادہ تھا جی لوں گا تجھ سے بچھڑ کر
گزرتا نہیں اک دسمبر اکیلے
زمانے سے قاصرؔ خفا تو نہیں ہیں
کہ دیکھے گئے ہیں وہ اکثر اکیلے

اکھٹے جی رہے ہیں جب سے جینا آگیا ہے
مذاقاَ پڑھ رہے تھے ہجر کے نقصان دونوں
دسمبر میں بھی ماتھوں پر پسینہ آگیا ہے
مدد درکار تھی مجھ کو کہ ڈوبا جا رہا تھا
بھنور آیا تو میں سمجھا سفینہ آ گیا ہے
ترے منہ پھیرنے سے پھر گیا ہر شخص کا منہ
قبیلے کی سبھی آنکھوں میں کینہ آگیا ہے
وہ پوٹھوہار کی آنکھیں ہمہ تن کھینچتی ہیں
جہاں گاڑی رکے لگتا ہے ,, دینہ ,, آگیا ہے
خرد جیسی کوئی بھی شے نہیں پہنچی مرے شہر
جنوں ہر شخص تک سینہ بہ سینہ آ گیا ہے
ہیں جیسے لوگ ہم , ہم نے چنا ویسا ہی اک شخص
نیا حاکم کوئی جاہل کمینہ آ گیا ہے
سبھی روتے محبت کر رہے ہیں زندگی دیکھ
ہمیں ہنستے ہوئے یہ زہر پینا آگیا ہے
خدایا نیند ایسی بھی کوئی مجھ کو سلا دے
کھلے جب آنکھ تو دیکھوں مدینہ آ گیا ہے عبداللہ
