Mother

Poet: Arham Shafiq By: Arham Shafiq, Karachi

Clutched my fingers in hers,
Bear my soul in time,
Got the things I’d wished for,
Mother-You’re a star…

Sweet like the Heaven’s stream,
Glows like the sun, in my dreams…

Flows on the tidal waves with me,
Drifts my sorrows outta space...

Show me the dancing moon,
Guide me to the brighter space…

Holding her arms wide open,
She rocks me like a baby,
Let me feel like the CREON…

Sets the bridge apart,
The bridge that guides me home…

So, don’t do what I’ve done,
I couldn’t walk and I tried to run…
