Songbird
Poet: Arham Shafiq By: Arham Shafiq, Karachi“SONGBIRD”
 (By Arham Shafiq)

 I see a songbird,
She can fly up to the sky…
 Everyone would wind the road,
To see the love in her eyes…

I can save her from the cold,
I can save her from the darkness…

 Should remember what she did,
 Brought me from the darkness,
 From darkness to the love...

 I feel myself scented,
 When her journey’s been told…

 She’s singing songs of love,
 To get herself with me…

Gonna write a song for her,
Gonna give her all the love,
All the love she gave to me…

Never felt that love from anyone,
I could feel myself in a merry land…

When she came and spread her wings,
 Whispered the things I’d wished for . . . . .

 She’s not anyone,
 She’s not anyone….
