حادثہ یونہی نہیں ہوتا
نہ رستے خود بدلتے ہیں
نہ دیواریں اچانک بولتی ہیں
نہ موسم شور کرتے ہیں
نہ لمحے زخم دیتے ہیں
کچھ آنکھیں مدتوں خاموش رہ کر
دلوں کی دھڑکنیں بے رنگ کرتی ہیں
کچھ لفظوں کے نہ کہنے میں
صدیاں روٹھ جاتی ہیں
وفا جب جھجھک جائے
محبت سہم جائے
یقین چھوٹنے لگے
اور سانسیں تھم سی جائیں
تب جا کے
کہیں اندر
کوئی شے بکھرتی ہے
کسی رشتے کی نبض رکتی ہے
کسی عکس کی روشنی بجھتی ہے
حادثہ یونہی نہیں ہوتا
یہ اک تسلسل ہوتا ہے
جو خامشی کی چادر میں لپٹا ہوتا ہے
جو وقت سے پہلے مار دیتا ہے
کبھی چھوٹے جملے چبھنے لگتے ہیں
کبھی خامشی طعنہ بن جاتی ہے
کبھی یادیں سوال اٹھاتی ہیں
کبھی عکس بھی اجنبی لگتے ہیں
اک وقت آتا ہے جب
مسکراہٹ بوجھ بن جاتی ہے
اور ساتھ ہونا
اک رسم جیسا لگنے لگتا ہے
باہر سب کچھ ویسا ہی ہوتا ہے
مگر اندر کچھ نہیں بچتا
رنگ ہوتے ہیں، پر آنکھ میں نہیں
آوازیں ہیں، پر دل میں نہیں
یہ جو ایک دن سب ٹوٹتا ہے
یہ وہ دن نہیں ہوتا
یہ اُس صبر کی آخری حد ہوتی ہے
جو برسوں سے سہ رہا ہوتا ہے
حادثہ یونہی نہیں ہوتا
یہ روٹھتی نظروں
ٹوٹتی باتوں
اور سرد رویّوں کی تھکن ہوتا ہے
یہ اُس وقت کا ماتم ہے
جب محبت نے آخری سانس لی
اور کسی نے محسوس تک نہ کیا
حادثہ نظر آتا ہے
پر اصل میں
وہ ایک کہانی کا ختم ہو جانا ہوتا ہے
جو دل میں مدتوں سے مر رہی ہوتی ہے عدیل الرحمن سائر
